User page

Keeping a user page updated with your background, current questions and interests, and above all interesting external links, is an important wiki best practice.

Among other things, it keeps discourse between users out of the talk pages, but still where other users can see it and chime in. This builds social capital.

For a good example of a user page see User:Craig_Hubley. Note that this is not the same as the neutral point of view bio at Craig Hubley which Hubley himself should not be writing.
