The 'New Troll' point of view (NPOV) is the de-facto neutral point of view for new trolls arriving at a large public wiki. Its acronym purposely drops the 'T'.

Since the demographic or psychographic of new users inevitably varies to some degree from existing users, there is tension between neutral point of view and the view of the new trolls. Those who like to deny that can simply say the phrase fast and pretend that "neutral" and "new troll" are the same thing and can be evaluated the same way. This is an example of dialectic - finding tensions and contrasts as a way to focus on what is important, or at issue, between two groups. In this case, the existing or established or empowered incumbent users, and the new users who the incumbents call trolls: those who most strongly challenge status quo views, e.g. "the opposition" in democratic terms.
