Content Creation

Content creation is the beginning of the process. In this stage, the video and audio is created using video, sound and editing equipment.
The quality of production is critical to the quality of end results. The "garbage in, garbage out" rule applies.
Optimal results require quality cameras, microphones, editing and other equipment. If the budget allows, broadcast standard rather than consumer market equipment should be used to provide the cleanest video and audio.
Some camera techniques do not transcribe well when streamed. Tight clean video with a minimum of movement is the ideal for lower bandwidth webcasting. With highly dynamic images, video quality can be compromised.
Camera operator will quickly learn by seeing how their work transcribes when streamed over the Internet.
Other Considerations
- Lack of quality lighting negatively impacts quality. Studio lights are sometimes necessary.
- Written running sheets are helpful to predict tape and resource requirements and anticipate problems.
- Independent sound feeds are ideal.
There are also various Webcast Event Process issues you should take into account.

The next step is to encode the content ready to be streamed.
